Soul Call is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which Lisa founded in 1999.
Soul Call was formed to benefit children, especially those who have been abandoned or orphaned, and distributes contributions to 501(c)(3) organizations whose emphasis is to create a safe and functional environment for them which will create the opportunity for them to thrive.
The mission of Soul Call is to provide food, shelter, education and ideals for balanced living with an emphasis on Self Love and Self Development through the proper use of creativity and creative expression.
Soul Call will educate through private and public schools which are already established and through the establishment of it’s own facility.
The spiritual component to this school will be to introduce children to the practice of prayer and meditation as a daily spiritual practice. There is one universal force or God and the truth of this God is found in all true religions. By creating a safe and informed environment for children to study these philosophies, the hope is that the child will resonate with a particular philosophy and engage it to begin living a life that is centered which will result in stability.
The educational component of the shelter or center will also offer the inspiration children need to attain their highest good and offer ideals for balanced living. Children will be taught the fundamentals of conflict resolution which will help to foster the strength of character necessary to navigate through life.
Soul Call seeks to place children in Foster Care situations into permanent families who adopt them. Soul Call will support ongoing family and individual therapy to insure the success of the family unit and offer/enroll students in the Soul Call school with it’s curriculum designed to include the spiritual and character building components stated earlier.
Lisa earned a BA in Psychology from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and founded Soulcall in an effort to offer at risk children an opportunity to thrive.
